Anthem of the Peaceful Army is the debut studio album by American rock band Greta Van Fleet. The album was released on October 19, 2018, and follows the band's original two EP releases, Black Smoke Rising and From the Fires. The first single, "When the Curtain Falls", was released in July 2018. The album was the top selling album in its debut week in the US, selling 80,000 copies. Factoring in album equivalent units, it debuted at number three on the Billboard 200
With the release of their new album, Greta Van Fleet now adds its name to the list of Zep disciples who have made albums that sound kinda, sorta and sometimes exactly like its primary influence. If nothing else, the quartet has demonstrated that guitar-rock can still be popular with a young audience that either hasn’t heard of Led Zeppelin, or prefers Greta’s version to their grandparents’ original. Rock history is full of mannish-boys eager to make their mark long before they’ve arrived at a sound of their own or have anything to say. Now that Greta Van Fleet has paid tribute to one of its distant teachers, maybe it can start building a future on its next album.

Polyphia is an American instrumental rock band based in Dallas, Texas, formed in 2010.
Having dined at the table of New Levels New Devils, my TL;DR take is: It’s great, but it’s not OMG WOW. I appreciate the creative decisions that resulted in some really fascinating sounds, having Polyphia stand out as exceptionally unique. I also loved how the listener’s attention and focus is consistently pulled throughout the entire band, with no element feeling like ‘backing’ or a matter of just going through the motions. There’s a lot of energy and enthusiasm here for what they’re making and New Levels New Devils feels like a band having a really good time. The best of Polyphia for me were the moments/tracks that express this vibe with an ongoing sense of forward motion, a melody that sinks its teeth into you, and creative flare surrounding the persistent thread, or at least a thread that is only momentarily lost.

Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino is the sixth studio album by English rock band Arctic Monkeys. It was released on 11 May 2018 by Domino Recording Company.
The Arctic Monkeys’ meditative sixth studio album unfolds like the soundtrack to a stylized movie set in a slightly futuristic parallel universe. Vocalist Alex Turner’s lively lyrics express skepticism about technology and politics (not to mention his own place in the world), and are tinted with a sci-fi aura. Accordingly, the record’s velvet-trimmed music feels slightly phase-shifted from the present day, thanks to loose arrangements, minimal drums, and an abundance of celestial textures: daubs of searing electric guitar, louche piano, creaky Wurlitzer, eerie Farfisa, and macabre harpsichord. Unfortunately, there are no obvious hooks on Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, which is its major weakness: Although Turner cranks up the rakish charm, in the form of falsetto (“Golden Trunks”) and Morrissey-esque, clenched-jaw self-effacement (“She Looks Like Fun”), the album feels unmoored and even plodding due to a lack of structure.

Lush is the debut studio album by American indie rock musician Snail Mail, released on June 8, 2018 through Matador Records. The album was produced by Jake Aron.
The debut studio album from Snail Mail had was filled with pretty indie rock that detailed complex inner battles and lingering emotions. The song writing depicts the angst of feeling like you’re the only person who’s truly alive in a dulled world. However, this extremely teenage view is whined about but more questioned. There's something Jordan (lead singer) is trying to convey but has a fair way to go to get her ideas out although showing a promising future. The album mixes these interesting ideas with fairly average slow and mid-tempo guitar performances making for an underwhelming amount of songs that will immediately catch your attention.
