Time 'n' Place is not a long album, and it doesn't have time to get tiresome. It feels like something transitional as if Kero Kero Bonito are working their way into something that is more sustainable than the often wild, sometimes too-cute experiments of their past.

Negro Swan is the fourth studio album by Blood Orange, an alias of British musician Dev Hynes. It was released on 24 August 2018, through Domino. The album was preceded by the singles "Charcoal Baby" and "Jewelry".

The introspection on ‘Negro Swan’ is accompanied by a confident desire to be loved and understood. Dev sings on seventh track ‘Charcoal Baby’: “No one wants to be the odd one out at times / No one wants to be the Negro swan”, and the album is afforded a unique sonic energy by the push-pull that comes with wanting to be accepted by the group while also wanting what makes you different and special to be acknowledged. ‘Negro Swan’ sounds like the deep therapy that comes with a house party hitting 4am.

Ballads 1 (stylized in all caps) is the debut studio album by Japanese singer-songwriter George Miller, under the moniker Joji. It was released on 26 October 2018 through 88rising Records and 12Tone Music. The album debuted at number three on the US Billboard

The 2018 release of the album Ballads 1 had me eager to hear what Joji had to offer ever since he released two tracks off the album titled "dancing in the dark" and "cant get over you". The tracks showcased Joji experimenting with his voice and new directions for production. However, it seems it were just these 2 songs on the full-length album that added any variety to the album. The other 8 songs consisted of recycled mellow production and lyrics that felt made me feel so disappointed considering how much I was anticipating this project.

Hive Mind is the fourth studio album by American R&B band the Internet. It was released on July 20, 2018 by Columbia Records. It was preceded by the singles "Roll (Burbank Funk)", "Come Over" and "La Di Da".

The Opinion Shop Review

Hive Mind falls ever so slightly short of “Ego Death,” though it’s still superb. The songs are a little more generalized, less specific; the music feels just a little more deliberate, though it’s still full of surprises. Although, Hands down a very solid album by the internet, Production is great with lots of funk and groove in it, Syd has excellent vocals and Lacy. Rather than fall in love with this record from the get-go it needs a little airing and breathing time to get to grips with the finer notes, but it's sure to keep you coming back.
